Terms of Use
Last updated:
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using Globiqo you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older, or using Globiqo with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
2. What Globiqo is, and is not
Globiqo is a ticketing platform. We provide the technology to sell and manage tickets. We are not the organiser of the events sold through Globiqo, and we do not run those events. The organiser is responsible for the event itself: whether it happens, when and where, what it is like, and honouring what they advertised. If an event is cancelled, changed, or not as described, that is a matter between you and the organiser, subject to the refund terms below and to your rights under local law. Where Globiqo offers resale, transfer, or waitlist features, we provide them as tools; the underlying ticket contract is still with the organiser.
3. Buying tickets, prices, and refunds
The price you see at checkout includes Globiqo's booking fee where the organiser has chosen for the buyer to pay it. That booking fee is Globiqo's own fee.
Refund default, confirm as [[REFUND_DECISION]]: If an organiser cancels an event, you are refunded the full ticket price. Globiqo's booking fee is non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, because it pays for the service already provided in selling you the ticket. If an organiser materially changes an event, such as a new date or venue, and you cannot attend, you may request a refund of the ticket price. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable unless the organiser's own policy or your local consumer law gives you a further right. Refunds are returned through the payment processor to your original payment method and may take several working days to appear.
Note to reviewer: some of the five markets may grant a cooling-off right that cannot be excluded; a lawyer must confirm this default is lawful in each.
4. Organisers and white-label
If you are an organiser, you are responsible for your events, for the accuracy of what you advertise, and for honouring the tickets you sell. Globiqo charges a platform fee and settles your takings through the payment processor. If your subscription lapses or is downgraded, tickets your buyers have already been issued stay valid; your buyers did nothing wrong and do not lose what they paid for.
5. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: buy or sell tickets fraudulently or with a payment method that is not yours; resell a ticket outside Globiqo's own resale feature or above any cap it sets; copy, forge, alter, or duplicate a ticket or its QR code, or help anyone do so; use a ticket that has already been used, or try to enter more than once on a single admission; scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from Globiqo, or use bots to buy tickets; impersonate an organiser, another user, or Globiqo; or interfere with the platform's security or reach data that is not yours. We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and tickets obtained through fraud may be cancelled. Tickets bought legitimately stay valid.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Globiqo's liability to you is limited, and we are not liable for the acts of organisers or for events themselves. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.
Note to reviewer: the cap and the local-law carve-outs need counsel per jurisdiction.
7. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [[GOVERNING_LAW_JURISDICTION]], and disputes are subject to its courts, without affecting any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you.
